Do You Have A Great Idea for Your Neighborhood?

Supporting Neighborhood Initiatives

Orange is full of talented people with exciting ideas about how to make the city a better place. We are supporting resident-led (2 or more residents) projects that impact the Heart of Orange or Valley neighborhoods and their residents. These projects are created to build community, cultivate neighborhood leadership, expand activities for youth, promote health and wellness and celebrate the diversity of people living in this city.

Projects Can Focus on ANY of these Areas:

Youth Activities & Leadership
Mentoring forums, student-led activity, tutoring, arts classes, music lessons, sports teams, PTO Meetings, back-to-school drives, etc.
Neighborhood Beautification
Clean-ups, Public art, Tree planting, Community gardens, etc.
Cultural Diversity
Street fairs, block parties, cultural festivals, etc.
Health & Safety
Block associations, safe routes to school events/walking school bus, exercise groups, etc.
Economic Development
Skills training, food or tool co-op, etc.

If your Idea does ANY of the following:

Support resident groups
Boost neighborhood pride
Address pressing neighborhood issues
Provide leadership development for youth and/or adults
Build relationships between residents & community leaders

Applying for a Neighborhood Project Grant can put you one step closer to making a difference in YOUR neighborhood!
