HANDS Inc Presents: Insider's Tour: Firehouse Artist Lofts, Ironworks Community Arts Center and Garden State Urban Farms.
Saturday, April 21st, 35 guests were granted an exclusive first look at the Firehouse Lofts built in 1905 and currently under renovation. Its redevelopment will bring a storefront retail space, gallery and six distinctive spacious artist live/work lofts.
The tour continued down Tompkins St. to Garden State Urban Farms' hydroponic greenhouse and Ironworks, home to ValleyArts, the coordinating body of the Valley Arts District and ORNG Ink, a non-profit educational arts and entrepreneurship studio empowering emerging young artists featured in the Star-Ledger.
